Hillsborough man charged in child sex abuse images case

A New Hampshire man accused of possessing child sexual abuse images and explosives appeared in court on Friday.

Maurice Morissette, 69, was arrested Thursday at his home in Hillsborough.

According to court documents, during search of his home, 128 images depicting child sexual abuse were found.

Eight-eight of those images appeared to be AI-generated, officials said.

A live hand grenade trigger and a detonating fuse were also found, investigators said.

Morrissette is being held on preventative detention until his next hearing.
